PMS colors are designed for paper ink to be placed on white stock. You may indicate what PMS color you would like and make one of two choices:
1)Choose a stock t shirt ink color that is close to the PMS color.
2)Pay extra for a PMS color match, but understand it cannot be guaranteed to be exact on a textile, especially if it is not screen printed on white.

  10. Can I print on various colors?

As long as the same ink color can be used on all fabrics, there should be no problem. Your design on paper will be placed on all the colors you want to print on… just to be sure the design works for you on all of your color choices.

  11. Can you screen print 4 color process artwork?

Yes, we offer four color processes. 4 color process designs need to be printed on white garments. Many times spot color can be more affordable and effective. We are happy to work this through for you to find the best colors for your design.

  12. Is there an organic textile ink available?

There are several definitions for "organic / non-organic". For chemistry, organic materials are those containing carbon; non-organic materials do not contain carbon. Both organic and non-organic materials can be made synthetically or harvested from the earth. In reference to pigments or dyes used to color the inks, almost all are synthetically produced. 'Organic' with regards to chemical makeup or production of raw materials is not a reference to environmental concerns, which the question implies.
There are no industry wide definitions to qualify an ink or the printing method as organic. As a printer, be sure to research not only the ink, but also its environmental impact within the overall printing process. Be sure to evaluate the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and Technical Processing Instructions for any materials used throughout production of a garment.

  13. Are your inks tested on animals?

No. Our ink is imported abroad, if you want to know the details please contact us.

  14. How are prices determined?

The prices are based on the total quantity, the color & brand of the blank item you select, and, for screen-printing, the number of colors in your design.

  15. What files format will you accept for artwork?

We accept the following formats: AI, CDR, EPS, JPEG, PSD, PDF, BMP, and TIFF. Before you offer the artwork, please contact us for confirm.

  16. What is screen count or mesh count?

The mesh count is the number of threads per inch (tpi) used to weave the mesh. Typical mesh counts for screen printing t-shirts range from 85 tpi to 355 tpi. The mesh count defines basically two things: The thickness of the ink deposit and the size (or lpi) of halftones that can be printed. The lower mesh counts, 85-110 tpi, have a relatively large thread diameter and more space between the threads (called "open area”). This allows for a thicker deposit and more ink to pass through the screen. Typically, lower mesh counts are used for specialty inks (like glitter) and when a thick deposit is needed on dark garments.

  17. What is flashing or flash drying/curing?

Flash curing is the process of making a layer of ink gelling with a spot heating unit while still on the press. To "gel" the ink layer the temperature is raised to the point where the ink begins to dry but is not completely cured. The ink will be dry to the touch and will form a solid surface to print additional colors on. When the fabric is running through the drier the flashed layer will cure completely and bond to the ink layers on top to form a solid film.

  18. What are halftones?

Halftones are a pattern of tiny dots that can simulate different shades of color using varying percentages of a single ink. Visually, halftones create the illusion of a continuous tone image by using spots of varying size and density to represent darker or lighter color values. Halftones work by fooling the eye into seeing the combination of the ink color and the color of the shirt they are printed on. When seen from a distance, the colors blend together and the dots merge with the background color of the shirt. If you look closely at or magnify the print, the separate dots are quite clear. You can see good examples of halftones if you magnify a picture in a magazine or a print from a color printer or even if you look closely at your TV screen. All these are made up of tiny dots.

In screen printing we use halftones for three main purposes:

1)To create a tint or lighter shade of a color. This will allow more "colors" in the design
             without adding more screens.

Example:

100% Blue

50% Blue

20% Blue

2)To create a gradient or the appearance of a continuous tone of color:

3) To create overlapping screens of different ink colors that combine to simulate more
          colors.

19.  What are line count, screen frequency, and lpi?

A: These terms all refer to the number of vertical lines of halftone spots per inch or lines per inch (lpi). Halftones are created using a grid of cells. Each cell contains one halftone spot. These spots vary in size depending on the shade of color being represented but only one fits in a cell. The size of these cells determines the lpi.

22.   I have seen watercolor painting with fabric paints. Is it difficult to do?

A watercolor look on fabric results in a distinctively subtle effect often seen in today’s popular looks, and is ideal for floral designs. A watercolor wash is often used as a soft background … or is attractive by itself. The intensity of color depends on the ratio of water to paint and the thickness of the fabric. Mix desired paint color and water to ink consistency. The amount of water can be varied to achieve desired intensity of color. We can fulfill your requirement.
